Cut a Rock Index Rewards

Checked

The Index is a discovery log, and the game promises it pays out in auras. That is the whole claim: complete the Index and unlock powerful auras. No aura name, effect or entry count is published anywhere we could check, so this page separates the one number the game states from everything that is still unknown.

The one number the game states

The 200x Anvil pass is sold as a way to get its anvil "without completing 24 Index entries". That sentence does two jobs at once. It confirms the Index has an entry-based requirement, and it puts that requirement at 24 entries for the highest anvil in the game.

That is the only Index number in the entire shop. The 25x, 50x and 100x anvil passes say they bypass "the anvil's Index requirement" without giving a count, so those three gates are undocumented from our side.

What a discovery looks like

In the guide video, finishing an unfamiliar stone triggers a banner reading New material! 2/4 Rose Quartz / Uncommon. Three things come out of that one prompt: the material name, its rarity band, and a sub-count showing how many variants of that material you have found so far.

That sub-count is the most useful thing on the screen, because it turns a vague collection into a checklist with a denominator. If a material shows 2/4, two more variants of that one stone are out there.

Why no aura list exists yet

Three separate gaps:

  1. No roster. The game never lists aura names in the shop, the description or the UI we could read.
  2. No thresholds. Nothing states which entry count unlocks which aura.
  3. No totals. Nobody publishes the Index size, so a "complete your Index" guide would not know when to stop.

Any page that prints an aura table today is either reading it off someone's screen without saying so, or filling the gap. We are not doing that. When the game publishes it, it goes here with a date.

What actually moves the Index

Mining new material types, which in practice means two things you control:

Go to rooms you have not emptied. Each room prints its own pool on the floor board, and the two we could read are 50/50/0.1 in Room 2 and 35/50/15/0.1 in Room 3. A new room is a new pool, which is more entries per hour than re-mining the one you know.

Cut the unfamiliar stones instead of selling them raw. Discovery fires when the stone comes out of the cutter, and the cut is the step that reveals the material.

Our read: the Index is a byproduct of playing deeper, not a separate grind. The gate at 24 entries and the 200x anvil are the only place where the Index turns into a decision you can price.

The anvil side is on the anvil page, the pools are on rocks, and the Power the anvil feeds is on the Power page.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Cut a Rock Index reward?

The official description says completing it unlocks powerful auras. No aura names, effects or thresholds are published.

How many entries are in the Index?

No source publishes the total. The only number the game states is 24 entries, which is the gate on the 200x anvil.

Do you have to finish the Index to use an anvil?

Only the 200x is documented as gated at 24 entries. The other three passes say they bypass an anvil's requirement without naming a count.

What does the 2/4 count on a discovery prompt mean?

It counts how many variants of that material you have found. In the footage we checked it read 2/4 for Rose Quartz.
