Cut a Rock Limited Stones

Checked

Four stones are sold directly for Robux: Nova Prism, Genesis Monolith, Royal Relic and Sun Scarab. Each comes in bundles of 1, 3, 5 and 10, which is 16 shop entries from 49 to 1,299 Robux. Every one of them is a random core, and only one of the four publishes its odds in the product data.

The price ladder

Prices rise faster than bundle size, so the biggest bundle is not the cheapest per stone.

Stone 1x 3x 5x 10x
Nova Prism 49 139 229 449
Genesis Monolith 79 219 349 679
Royal Relic 119 329 529 1,029
Sun Scarab 149 419 669 1,299

Per stone, Nova Prism runs from 49 down to about 45 in the ten-bundle. Sun Scarab runs from 149 down to about 130. The discount for buying ten is real but small, and none of the four ever beats the value of a permanent boost at 79 if what you want is a lasting change to your income.

The one published odds table

Royal Relic is the exception. Its product description lists five outcomes with percentages, which makes it the only limited stone you can price honestly.

Outcome Chance
King's Fortune 35%
Key of Camelot 30%
Merlin's Cloak 20%
Imperial Crown 10%
Excalibur 5%

The same description says the purchase does not include an instant cut or a guaranteed material, and that cutting time applies. So a Royal Relic is a stone that still has to go through your machine, and the top outcome is a one-in-twenty roll per bundle item.

The three that keep their odds in the shop

Nova Prism, Genesis Monolith and Sun Scarab all use the same line: core chances are shown in the in-game shop. That is a real answer, not a dodge, but it means no page outside the game can give you a table for them. If a site prints three percentages for these stones, check whether it says where they came from.

Nova Prism is the one with a second life. The same name appears on the Room 2 and Room 3 floor boards at 0.1%, so you can mine for it or buy it. Buying ten costs 449 Robux; mining it takes an average of a thousand rocks per stone, which is what the Nova Prism odds tool works out.

How this fits the rest of the shop

A stone bundle gives you one or more random cuts. A permanent 2x boost at 79 changes every sale or every cut from then on. If you are still deciding whether a stone is worth it, the question is not the price but how many stones you would need before the outcome you want actually lands.

Our read: Royal Relic is the only bundle where you can do that arithmetic before paying, and even there the 5% outcome means twenty bundles for one expected hit. The other three are a lottery with the odds printed inside the shop, not outside it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How many limited stones are there?

Four types, each sold in bundles of 1, 3, 5 and 10, which makes 16 shop entries.

Do limited stones guarantee a material?

No. The Royal Relic description says the purchase does not include a guaranteed material.

Where are the odds for the other three stones?

In the in-game shop. The product descriptions for Nova Prism, Genesis Monolith and Sun Scarab point there instead of publishing numbers.

Is Nova Prism the same stone that drops at 0.1% in a room?

It has the same name and the same 0.1% slot on the Room 2 and Room 3 boards, but the shop sells it directly as a bundle.
